Sardine Run - As Comfortable As It Gets

Where Will We Be Staying?

Sardine Run Accommodation comforts do not get better than this – our accommodation offers a welcome change to the ‘usual’ Sardine Run experience of enduring cumbersome transport to the location, getting dressed in a tent, or having to be satisfied with cramped spartan accommodation.

After landing at the airport in East London, you will be transported by car for roughly 40 minutes up the coast to your base for the week. Situated right on the bank of a beautiful estuary, you will be welcomed by stunning views overlooking the same beach from where you will launch each day.

Room With A View

All the rooms of the lodge have beautiful, unrestricted views of the ocean and overlook the lush subtropical Albany thicket woodland. This area is renowned for its bird and wildlife and it is not unusual to see everything from Kingfishers, hornbills, Fish Eagles and even Vervet monkey’s from (or on!) your balcony as they jump around the trees which surround us. In terms of Sardine Run Accommodation, it does not get better…

Incredible Food And Drinks

Catering for all dietary requirements, our hosts never disappoint with the hearty meals they prepare and guests can expect everything from a variety of salads, to pasta, soups, international cuisine and of course traditional local foods (including a ‘braai’).

The restaurant is located at the highest point of the lodge with even more spectacular views and offers mouth watering meals on a daily basis (breakfast, lunch and dinner available).

The bar is also conveniently located alongside the restaurant (with the same great views!) and offers a wide selection of international and local wines, cocktails, beers and spirits.

Local options include amazing beers from the Emerald Vale Brewery (just up the road) which produces its beer from the best natural ingredients using rain water, malted barley, selected hops and yeast to yield a variety of tastes.

Start Each Day With A Peaceful, Scenic Walk To The Beach

Our Sardine Run Accommodation borders an estuary as well as the beach, so each morning you will get dressed in your room (luxury!) and stroll down to the beach to meet the boat for the launch.

Unlike other ‘popular’ spots, you will not have to beat a rush of boats and people getting out to sea and it really is a private stretch of Wild Coast to call home during your time with us,

Need Privacy Or Added Services?

With years of experience offering more private services for clients in Norway who wished to remain anonymous (private boat accommodation etc.), we have already catered to the needs of groups and individuals who required a more private option in South Africa as well.

Our lodge has direct accesses to a helipad, so clients can fly direct to and from the lodge and have the added options for private:

and more…

For more information on private / discreet options, please contact us for options.
